The Chilean Miners tour of the The world famous miners have taken in a Take That concert, watched Manchester United win 1-0 against Arsenal and turned on the Christmas Lights in Preston since they arrived last week. Admittedly, the lights had already been on in Preston for over a week, but they only managed to get Keith Harris last time, so it was well worth turning them off for the stupendously famous gold miners of Chile
Anne Robinson will host the Weakest Link special as usual; however, TV bosses have asked that she speak slower, and if possible, in Spanish. They have also asked that she refrain from her half-assed acerbic comments as they do not translate too well into Spanish.
The miners are said to be thrilled to be appearing on such a prestigious show. Re-runs of the Spanish versoin of Weakest Link, Eslabón Más Débil, were a daily ritual in the mine, with one miner being Ana Robinhijo, whilst the others answered the questions.
Through an interpreter, Paolo Graidi said: "I enjoyed playing Eslabón Más Débil down in the mine, but after a while the questions became a little tedious. I am looking forward to questions that are not about rocks."
Anne Robinson, who is fluent in four languages (English, Polish, German and Welsh) is attempting to learn Spanish in time for the show this weekend.
